GNL Book Clubs

The first Graphic Novel Library shipments for both adults and kids went out in June 2026. At the same time, our Discord server went live, with a discussion channel for each book we ship.

The GNL book clubs, named for our mascot cats Paige and her nephew Panel, will be rooted online, with simultaneous in-person options that will grow as we do.

If you live in Portland or Eugene, Oregon, you lucked out: the GNL book selections are ALSO the selections of the book clubs that meet monthly at both Books with Pictures stores! As we get more and more members, we will divide our discussions by region, and we aim to have additional groups meeting in person by early 2027.

Are you a parent with a Panel's Club kid? Awesome! Your kid will ONLY have access to the Panel's Club discussion channels, and you'll be added to a parents-only discussion channel, too.

We know that in-person meetings can have a critical element that can be missing online; we also know that, for some folks, online meetings are the only thing that will ever be comfortable or practical. We believe strongly that both kinds of communities can create rich and meaningful connections.
